Hey there, I’m Jeff Foley of JFP. I was going to start this bio page by humble bragging about the industry awards I’ve won, tallying the hundreds of weddings I’ve been entrusted to document, listing the exotic locales I’ve worked in, and talking about the celebs I’ve photographed. But that’s not why you’re here.

You want to know what I’m actually about, right? You want to know why I’m a wedding photographer and why, perhaps, you should hire me.

Well, first and foremost, I’m a photographer because I’m a storyteller. Every wedding – heck, every click of the camera -- is an opportunity to tell a story. I was a writer before I became a photographer, and the two careers I’ve spent my life engaged in share a common goal: to get to know people and to tell their stories.

I am a chaser of love and light. Clean, colorful backgrounds excite me. Genuine emotions can take my breath away. I love to laugh and I’m ok happy crying, too. Weddings provide opportunities for both.

I’m not a fan of photographic fads. Classic romance works for me. I don’t mind seeing some Pinterest inspiration from my clients, but those pictures serve as a jumping off point to create images that are true to my clients. I want to illustrate relationships in a flattering and real way every time I shoot a wedding.

My family matters more than anything in the world to me. So I take the privilege of spending one of the most important days in a family’s story very seriously. And I’d love to chat with you about your wedding.
